What we do
Working as a freelancer has the perks that you receive more money that you are able to invest straight into your own business. While that advantage is there, it leaves you with little time to pursuit your start-up ambitions.
Creating the idea and making the start is easy. Though you will see the requirements of the business grow and staying focussed will become a challenge. This becomes especially difficult when the first customers start pouring in and the list of new features keeps on growing. Choices need to be made: What feature will be first and what is the utmost priority. In addition, there's also a list of other chores that need to be taken care of.
We get this. We are in the same boat and have walked the walk before. At Vergence it is our mission to create a network of freelancers and entrepreneurs. Vergence will help you spend your time on the thing you want to spend your time on and lets you stay focussed on the important things.

We have experience with starting a business, but we know people that have even more and are more than willing to help. Having a mentor that can help you stay focussed and prioritize the important things will help you tremendously. In addition, we also hold close ties with experts in the domain of fiscal, financial and subsidy advise. These are the often overlooked tools that can help you.
Accelerating the recruitment process
By joining Vergence you will be part of a selective group that stands for ambitious, technically capable and strong entrepreneurs. This radiates outwards and will ease the recruitment process: we already did a partial selection. This will make it easier but also more valuable for you to start at a new client.
Regular meetups & Co-workings.
The meetups are on a regular basis and open to anyone this is interested in networking and starting a business. Venture capital has never been a more hot subject than now. The Vergence HQ is a simple building from the outside but a great place from the inside. This is a place where we regularly meet and work. It has plentiful resources for enabling you in the best way. Think of an open kitchen, gym, desks with monitors, and 3 minute walk from a beautiful forest. By the way, we also have an office in Bali, for whenever you want to experience the digital nomad lifestyle.
Shared resources
Odds are that your business is not yet big enough to warrant a full-time developer, though a part-time developer will probably be too expensive to start out with. You do want to have a good product which requires a certain set of skills. Being part of a larger group will allow the shared resources and easier access to these kinds of experts. You need a part-time data engineer? UX developer? Data Scientist? These are all part of the Vergence group and are willing to help you out. Vergence facilitates the exchange of skills in trade of equity.

Become a member of the Vergence cooperation
We register you as a part shareholder of the Vergence cooperation. This will create an instant stake for you in the company. We want you to care about Vergence as much as we are caring about you. These shares will materialize after the trial period has ended. Vergence is just the means to an end.

Receive and deliver our services
Starting a business is for a large part about velocity and moving fast. We want to help you as fast as possible and that is why we will start with this on day 0. We will get you in touch with the experts that feel are most important at your current business stage, this might be a financial advisor and / or a developer.

Contribute to Vergence
The Vergence contribution can come in two different shapes, either Vergence receives equity in trade for their services, or you pay a flat rate fee. The choice is yours.
